Polished Concrete
Polished concrete has gained popularity as the preferred type of floor, especially for commercial and industrial properties. The design and idea of polished concrete was created in order to make traditional concrete more adaptable in all types of establishments. It is highly durable, appealing, low maintenance, and outperforms other selections of floor types. We at Polyseal Coatings are excited to provide high quality service at a reasonable and competitive price to achieve and bring our individualized clients a beautiful and desirable floor.
Step 1: Select Your Aggregate Exposure
Cream Polish
One of the most popular options for polished floors. This type of finish does not expose any aggregate and appears most uniform throughout the entire floor space. Concrete cutting is kept to minimal depth while exposing only sand particles in the concrete floor.
Salt & Pepper
This type of finish exposes fine aggregate with approximately 1/16” of concrete surface cutting. The concrete appears more flattened than a cream polish exposing a “salt and pepper” resemblance throughout the floor space giving it scattered cream polish appearance as well.
Medium Aggregate
A medium aggregate selection generally exposes aggregate in the concrete floor with little or no large aggregate exposure at random locations approximately cutting 1/8“ of the concrete surface
Large Aggregate
This selection will expose the greatest amount of aggregate cutting approximately ¼” of the concrete surface. The original aggregate of the concrete mix will be revealed during the grinding process resulting in maximum exposure of the aggregate.
Step 2: Select Your Sheen
Step 3: Select Your Color
Matte
The appearance of this sheen is more flat and has no reflection. With this selection, maintenance of the floor is kept to a minimal level. (100-200 GRIT)
Satin
The appearance of this sheen produces minimal shine in the finish of the floor. (200-400 GRIT)
Polished
The appearance of this sheen produces medium shine with good light reflectivity. (400-800 GRIT)
Highly Polished
The appearance of this sheen produces a mirror-like effect in the floor with maximum light reflectivity. (1500+ GRIT)
Keep the original appearance of the concrete with a polish guard or select a color and style that will highlight and compliment your space. Choose from a large selection of colors that is desired for your setting and type of environment.
Step 4: Seal Your Concrete
It is important to preserve and prolong the life of your floor. Sealing the floor protects and enhances the color intensity of the concrete floor while providing extra durability
Concrete Staining
Staining your concrete can add character and style to your floor. Transform the gray concrete look into a custom and luxurious appearance by selecting from a wide range of colors and dyes. The process of concrete staining is versatile and practical. One of the biggest advantages to concrete staining is that it does not flake or peel off. Concrete staining is a great option for office spaces, shops, warehouses, hotels, and residential homes.
A grind and seal application is a simple, more affordable alternative to concrete polishing. This type of floor is resistant to oil, various chemicals, and yields higher scuff resistance. The grind and seal process consists of significantly fewer steps than a polished concrete floor. After repairing cracks and holes, the floor is grinded from coarse to a fine substrate. A topical sealer or stain is then applied. Various options are available to choose from for a topical sealer. Grind and seal is a great option for concrete floors in garages, warehouses, showrooms, retail stores, or manufacturing facilities.

Epoxy Floors
Epoxy flooring provides a strong and resistant coating to the concrete substrate hiding minor imperfections while achieving a non-slip durable floor. The low maintenance and ease of care make epoxy floor a popular choice among many customers for its practicality. Solid color epoxy or a vinyl chip flake floor both result in an aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly choice that will be of great advantage for years to come.
Solid Epoxy Floor
Commonly used for large interior residential such as garages or basements as well as commercial warehouses, kitchens, or retail environments. Solid epoxy floors are attractive, easy to clean, and durable. Epoxy floors are quickly installed and available with a gloss or stain finish.
Flake Epoxy Floor
The properties of a vinyl flake epoxy floor make it resistant to fluctuating temperatures and provide a barrier that is practical for a garage or other high use environments. Further benefits include non-slip, easy to clean surface, and chemical resistant properties that protect the floor from harmful elements such as oils, detergents, salts, anti-freezes, and various lubricants.
